This series draws inspiration from local scenery, geography, and architecture, translating natural and built forms into abstract compositions. By reducing the region’s defining features to shapes and spatial relationships, the sculptures examine how environment informs perception. Focusing on simplified lines and contours, the sculptures highlight the way familiar landmarks, landforms, and structures can be understood through gesture alone. They emphasize the relationship between built environments and the landscapes they occupy, inviting viewers to see everyday surroundings with renewed clarity.
